My name is Natasha Whieldon and I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1992 with a BSc (hons) Physiotherapy.
I am a Chartered and HCPC-registered physiotherapist. My training in acupuncture started in 1993 and I am a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). Since graduating I have worked in NHS hospitals with 2 years spent practising in New Zealand in the 1990s where my love of community physiotherapy began.
On return to the UK, I chose to specialise in working in the community setting in Manchester, North Yorkshire and Cheshire. Visiting patients in their own home allows me to get a comprehensive overview of their needs and together we can discuss goals and outcomes.
Being invited to a patient’s homes allows me to conduct a more holistic assessment. Community physiotherapy can be valuable for patients who struggle to travel, live in a care home or just find it more convenient for a physio to come to their home.

My name is Karen Oxley and I am a Chartered and HCPC-registered physiotherapist with over 20 years experience working in hospitals, community services and patient’s homes.
I hold a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Salford and I also work part-time as an NHS paediatric physiotherapist.
I have a strong background in neurological, general rehabilitation and elderly care, supporting patients to improve mobility, function and independence. I enjoy working with patients in their own homes, where treatment can be tailored to everyday routines and meaningful goals. My focus is to help patients move with confidence, stay independent and feel well supported throughout their rehabilitation.
